SSMS have hooked up with Seaton Sluice Surf Company to do some work on the importance of looking after our environment and in particular our oceans. Year 6 went along to the beach and met Ali from 'Surfers against Sewage'. They had a talk about the problems with plastics and then they took part in a beach clean, collecting lots of rubbish, including microplastics. The school is now really keen to achieve 'plastic-free school' status. A big thanks to Miss Curry and all the staff involved as well as Seaton Sluice Surf Company for organising this.
